JOURNEY INTO THE IMPOSSIBLE
Milan Rastislav Štefánik was the first Slovak to travel around the world. He climbed Mont Blanc multiple times, survived a plane crash during World War I, and was an intellectual, scientist, national hero, lover of women, and bon vivant.
A century ago, many considered his dreams utopian, yet he fearlessly ventured into the unknown to pursue his dream of liberating his nation despite overwhelming obstacles. His life story is almost unbelievable, especially considering he achieved all this as a man in poor health, coming from the humblest of beginnings.
Journey Into the Impossible takes an unconventional approach to real events, transforming them into an imaginative and entertaining film.
In this first Slovak feature-length special effects film, director Noro Držiak uncovers unknown adventures full of drama, emotion, and humor — as experienced by Štefánik himself.
